To burn a CD with track indexing: First off you must have the cue file downloaded and placed in the same folder as the mp3 file. As of Jan 2005 all recent downloads come in a zip folder including the .cue file so it shouldn't be a problem. Just extract the folder and then it's ready to go. You must NOT change the file name of the mp3 if you are trying to burn with track indexing or it will not work, because the mp3 has to have the same exact name as how it is listed in the .cue file. If you've already altered the file name of the mp3 just copy and paste the original file name (located in the top of the cue file, open it with notepad to view) back to the mp3. If there are any problems just open the cue file in Notepad to make sure the listed file name matches the exact name of the mp3.

Step 2: A window will now open up for you to find and select the .cue file wherever it's saved on your computer. *Make sure to click the tab at the bottom that says 'Files of type:' and change it to 'all files' first or you probably won't be able to see the file in that window. *The program may appear to freeze for a few minutes or so while it loads the cue sheet indexes but this is perfectly normal.

Step 3: The next window to come up now is basically what you see below. The indexes should be loaded and ready to burn so just make sure you have a blank cd ready in the drive and start the burn. Sit back, relax, mix a drink or just pace around a bit and before you know it your new cd will be ready to go.

Step 1: Open Nero or which ever burning program you use and do NOT let it start a new burn wizard or spread.. but rather close the new spread (cancel) and go to the top of the screen and select 'file' then 'open' from the drop down menu.

NOTE: If you're using Nero Express, all you need to do is choose the option "Disc Image or Saved Project". Make sure to read the rest of these instructions though.
